We love to hear from those who spend the majority of their time on the open road in their caravans. We also love to see the photos and videos that you post. Hear from Sandy who ‘Live’s life like a tourist’.
How did you get started on Instagram, is there any back story?
We started sharing our story on social media to keep our family who lived interstate updated on our life.
Starting with Facebook, we moved to Instagram recently, once again allowing us to share our experiences with friends and family.
Instagram became the easier option for photos.
Do you work while out on the road?
If we find we have a location we like or need to be stimulated, we find casual work. Working is not our main focus while we explore our great country.
What are some of your favourite activities?
We like to explore the local community and cultural aspects of towns. Wine and food are always part of our experience.
Life is to short, and we don’t know if we will be back to a location so we make the most of every moment
What are some of your favourite places you have visited?
Paris, Amsterdam, and New Zealand are some of our favourite overseas places, now we are focused on exploring Australia.
Spending a lot of time on the Sunshine coast has allowed us to see and explore some of the best locations, Montville, Palm Cove and the Blue Mountains have been a favourite, recently we have been exploring the central part of Australia and love Winton in Queensland.
If you can travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
Our next plan was for an Italy, Greece and Mediterranean trip.
Covid placed that trip on hold for now.
Often do you travel or is this a full-time gig?
We have been fortunate to have travelled for work and enjoyment both Overseas and locally and from the start of 2021, we are full time travellers, taking our mobile home around our great country.
You say “all photos taken by me”, is photography something that has been a part of your life for a while?
Capturing memories has always been an enjoyable part of my life
While I don’t consider myself a photographer, I do get the enjoyment of capturing what I see to share with others.
Do you have any advice for new travellers wanting to start up and get out on the road?
Live life like a tourist is a phrase we have used for many years, don’t sit and procrastinate. Take the step and do it, and don’t overthink what you need, keep it simple and explore everything.
